what is JIU-JITSU?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a self-defense system that primarily focuses on ground fighting. It is now commonly seen and used as a combat sport in tournaments and professional fighting competitions. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is identified by its concept that a smaller, weaker, less athletic person can defend themselves against a larger, stronger opponent and succeed by using technique and leverage. A variety of techniques can be used on your attacker once the fight has been taken to the ground that are focused on joint-locks, chokes, and ultimately dominating your opponent by controlling them.
